Right now in America, minimum wage is a hot topic. Currently the federal minimum wage sits at $7.25 an hour, and it has not increased in the last six years. Many people of different socioeconomic statuses are disgruntled about the low minimum wage, and it is becoming more common every day to find protesters outside of establishments such as McDonald’s, Wendy’s, or Walmart. Some believe the minimum wage should stay just how it is, while others believe it should be raised to $10.10/hr., $15/hr., or more. During this semester, I plan to explore the different viewpoints on the issue of minimum wage and outline my findings six blog posts
